Community Educational Sessions

As part of the 2012 Northeastern Ontario Recreation Association Educational Forum and Trade Show, the City of Greater Sudbury is pleased to provide the opportunity to attend free Community Educational Sessions.

All sessions will be held on Tuesday, September 25th, 2012 from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m.  Sessions will be held at the Holiday Inn Sudbury (1696 Regent Street).

New Corporations Act

Come and get a brief overview of the Act, why it is being changed and how you can be prepared. 
Presented by Sharon Murdock in partnership with United Way Sudbury and the Northeastern Ontario Recreation Association. Session flyer and more information here. 

Active Start to Active for Life

Parents, caregivers, educators, and coaches:  Learn how to support the development of  physical literacy—the ABCs of movement—in  the children in your lives. Take home real-life, everyday examples and tips from Dr. Colin Higgs, an expert in the field of sport and physical education.  Presented by Dr. Colin Higgs in partnership with the Sudbury & District Health Unit.  Session flyer and more information here. 

Festivals & Events Ontario

Festivals & Events Ontario (FEO), established in 1987, is a not-for-profit organization whose mandate is to represent the best interests of the festival and event industry here in Ontario.  FEO's strategic focus is on education, professional development, marketing and advocacy.   Come learn more about various provincial grant and funding opportunities that you may be eligible for as well as learning more about FEO!  Presented by Festivals & Events Ontario in partnership with City of Greater Sudbury Tourism.
