The Town of Espanola is accepting applications from candidates who possess leadership and supervisory capabilities. This position requires an individual who can carry out a variety of duties associated with the operation of a multi use facility including building/equipment maintenance, ice making, aquatics and janitorial. The individual must be able to co-ordinate building or system repairs/services with contractors and service companies; maintain a preventative maintenance program for all mechanical components of facilities including refrigeration, plumbing and heating. The successful applicant has the ability to support and facilitate positive work relationships in a unionized environment; good public and employee relation skills and to act as a resource person to clients and to the facility team.
Applicants should hold a Grade 12 diploma or equivalent plus specialized courses such as a Certified Ice Technician and Certified Pool Operator.
Preference to candidates with additional training certificates such as Class “B” refrigeration and Recreation Facilities Supervisor Certificate
Work experience in cleaning and building maintenance; facility supervision; working knowledge in pool and/or arena maintenance is required
Good written and verbal communication skills are essential along with computer literacy, good organization and decision-making skills.
Must have valid Driver’s License
Salary range $62, 792 - $75,350
